PHOTOVOLTAIC SOLAR PANELS

Another aspect of ACAIRs energy-saving operations is the installation of photovoltaic solar panels that convert solar energy into electricity. This is the future of renewable energies in Spain which will enable people to produce enough power for their own personal consumption without polluting the atmosphere or contaminating rivers or the sea.
The world is in a contaminated condition largely through the excessive consumption of fossil fuels and every one of us should play his or her part in reducing consumption of oil, gas and coal. Electricity in Spain is still largely produced from those three fuels as well as nuclear energy which has proved to be unsafe in even the most strictly-regulated countries. Hydro-electric schemes produce some of the electricity in Spain but it's production is now virtually at its maximum so any reduction in fossil fuel consumption must come as a result of widespread use of solar energy.
At present, it is not economic to install photovoltaic systems if mains electricity is available but despite an appalling lack of interest by the regional and central governments, more and more people are installing these systems in rural areas in preference to buying generators. The attraction is that one has an indefinite source of free electricity whereas a generator requires fuel deliveries and is also very noisy.
